Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide basic medical care under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patients’ health, administering basic patient care, and providing support to patients and their families. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to delivering high-quality care in a healthcare setting.
Education and Experience
- Completion of a state-approved practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the state of New York
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
Knowledge
- Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
- Understanding of patient care and safety standards
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations
- Knowledge of infection control practices

Primary Job Duties
- Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and recording information
- Administer basic patient care, including changing bandages and inserting catheters
- Provide patients with medication and monitor their reactions
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing and dressing
- Communicate with patients and their families about their care and treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient needs are met
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
