Job Summary
Provides comprehensive testing of sleep disorders, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. Competitive pay and benefits, based on experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Reviews the patient's history and verifies the medical order
- Identifies recording artifact and corrects problems with recording
- Accurately scores and analyzes sleep studies
- Performs therapeutic treatments and interventions independently
- Recognizes physiological parameters including various sleep stages
- Maintains and properly uses sleep-related equipment
- Adheres to sleep centers policies and procedures
- Maintains all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats
- Performs other related duties as required and directed
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- RPSGT (Required)
Education
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Schedule
- Full-time 40 hours per week
