Job Summary
The X-Ray Technician is responsible for operating X-ray equipment to assist in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. This role involves preparing patients for X-ray procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients, and producing high-quality diagnostic images. The technician will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging services.
Education and Experience
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in radiology, is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of radiologic technology and imaging techniques.
- Understanding of patient care and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in using X-ray equipment and related technology.

Primary Job Duties
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
- Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information.
